The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week for February 4 are Dakota Bennington, from Eureka College, and Alex Martin, from Spalding University.

 

SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week - Feb. 4
Dakota Bennington, Eureka College

Bennington wins his second weekly conference award this season after averaging a double-double in two games last week. The junior from Peoria, Illinois put up 25.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, shooting 55-percent from the field. He also dished out six assists in the two games and recorded three steals. Bennington finished with 25 points and three steals against Blackburn before helping his team to a win over Webster with a 26 point, 16 rebound, 5 assist effort. 

     
 

SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Feb. 4
Alex Martin, Spalding University

Alex Martin picks up her second straight Player of the Week award. Martin, a senior from Louisville, Ky., helped the Golden Eagles clinch a playoff spot with two conference wins last week. She tallied 12 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals in a narrow victory over Webster. Martin closed out her week with 35 points, on 13-of-22 shooting, in a win over Westminster. On the week she averaged 23.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game.

  • Kendahl Adams, Westminster College (Women's Basketball) Averaged 23.0 points and 8.5 rebounds over two games last week.
  • Logan Dorethy, MacMurray College (Men's Basketball) Scored 48 points against Greenville, the 4th highest output in conference history.
  • Ashley Harfst, Eureka College (Women's Basketball) Averaged a double-double with 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in two Red Devil wins.
  • Darby Massner, Iowa Wesleyan University (Women's Basketball) Averaged 24.0 points and 16.0 rebounds per game while helping the Tigers to a pair of wins.
  • Romo Tabb, Westminster College (Men's Basketball) Averaged 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games for the Blue Jays.
