SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week - Feb. 19
Micah Paulson, Principia College

Principia senior Micah Paulson had a memorable final week of his collegiate career; averaging 32.0 points per game in three contests and becoming the school's career scoring leader in his final game. Paulson scored 28 points on Senior Night, helping the Panthers to a win over Webster. He added six rebounds and six assists in the contest. He followed with 42 points against Blackburn, knocking down seven three-pointers, and closed out his career with 26 points against Webster in the season finale. On the week he averaged 32.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 53-percent from the floor and hitting 15-of-33 three-pointers.

     
 

SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Feb. 19
Rylee Stafford, Fontbonne University

Stafford, a sophomore guard from Jackson, Mo., takes home her second weekly award this season. She averaged 27.5 points over two games for the Griffins including netting a career-high 31 points against Iowa Wesleyan. Stafford finished with 31 points, including six three-pointers, in that game while adding five rebounds and four steals. Stafford closed out her season with 24 points, going 11-of-12 from the free-throw line, against Spalding. On the week she shot 50-percent from the field and hit on 9-of-19 three-pointers.

  • Derek Bourke, MacMurray College (Basketball) Closed out his Highlander career with a double-double, finishing with 15 points, on 7-of-12 shooting, and 10 rebounds.
  • Jenna Dudra, Blackburn College (Basketball) Recorded 16 points and seven steals against Spalding.
  • Kaylee Heggemann, Webster University (Basketball) Scored 26 points, adding 11 rebounds, against Greenville.
  • Mirrakohl Johnson, Westminster College (Basketball) Put up back-to-back double-doubles last week; averaging 18.5 points and 10. rebounds per game.
  • Romo Tabb, Westminster College (Basketball) Averaged 25.0 points and 11.0 rebounds over two games for the Blue Jays last week.
  • Enrique Tankins, Webster University (Basketball) Recorded the second-ever triple-double in school history with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists against Greenville.
  • Hank Thomas, Eureka College (Basketball) Poured in 37 points, with nine three-pointers, in a win over Iowa Wesleyan. 
  • Jared Woodcock, Fontbonne University (Basketball) Scored a career-high 33 points against Iowa Wesleyan, averaging 27.5 points per game on the week.
  • Jamaya Wyatt, Blackburn College (Basketball) Burst out for 28 points and 19 rebounds in Blackburn's win over Principia, helping them secure a playoff spot.
