Women's soccer records 10th conference win with 4-1 victory at Principia

ELSAH, Ill. - The women's soccer team posted a 4-1 win over Principia on Saturday to give themselves 10 conference victories this season.

Greenville goalkeeper Grace Gehner was active in the match, facing 13 shots and collecting a career high 10 saves in the contest.

Jen De Leon De Leon provided two Greenville goals, picking up tallies in the 28th and 54th minutes. She added an assist on Meggie Pallme's goal in the 32nd minute.

After Principia broke up the shutout in the 74th minute, Alexis Roberts put GU back ahead by three with an unassisted goal.

Greenville held a 19-13 shot advantage in the match, holding a more distinct advantage in the second half when they outshot Principia 11-6.

The GU Panthers (10-5, 10-2 SLIAC) have a challenging match with Webster on Wednesday before closing the regular season on Saturday with a showdown against Fontbonne.
