EUREKA, Ill.—The Fontbonne University baseball team won its third straight game and sixth straight conference series taking game one 4-0 and game two 11-2 over Eureka on Friday.

Game 1 Breakdown
Thomas Purschke got things started reaching base on an error and moved up to second on Daniel Youngblood's single. After a strikeout, the Griffins took a 1-0 lead on Matt Helm's RBI single to left.
In the second, Colby Shivers led off with a single and eventually scored on Carter Lee's two out single to center. Purschke kept the inning going with a double to right plating Lee making it a 3-0 game.
In the fourth, the Griffins extended its lead out to 4-0 on Youngblood's RBI double scoring Lee, who reached base on a one out walk.
That was more than enough for starter Nick Glaser who allowed just two hits, retired the final nine hitters he faced, and struck out a career-high 13 en route to his sixth straight win.

Game 2 Breakdown
The Griffins started fast once again in game two with a Youngblood walk and a Helm single putting two on with one out. Reece Harris reached base on an error allowing Youngblood to score making it a 1-0 lead. After a single to center by Shivers, Mason Lewis brought Helm home with a single to right.
In the fourth, the Griffins led 3-0 on Lee's single to short allowing Eric Creech to score. In the fifth, Helm belted his team-high ninth homer on the season.
Tyson Wilson, who got his first start on the season, dominated throughout going 7.0 innings, allowing two runs and striking out a career-high 11.
Fontbonne tacked on two more in the sixth, another in the eighth, and piled it on in the ninth scoring four runs on three hits capped off by Paul Wilson two RBI single giving Fontbonne the 11-2 win.
