Women's soccer races past Principia

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team hosted Principia on Tuesday night and produced a dominating 7-1 win.  Dani Pearce was involved in five of GU's seven goals with a goal and four assists.

Greenville led 2-1 at halftime before running off a stretch of five unanswered goals in the second half.

The Panthers ended with a 34-7 advantage in shots, paced by Breanna Thomas with eight shots, including two goals.

In addition to Pearce and Thomas, Megan Taylor, Brooklyn Haro, Kate Arthur, and Courtney Lawrence provided goal-scoring strikes.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates stopped five shots from going in the net and recorded five saves.

The Panthers (10-4, 3-1 SLIAC) will play Webster on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Greenville.
