Simpson Blanks Westminster Men's Soccer

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster men's soccer suffered a 5-0 loss to Simpson Friday night at home.

The squad falls to 1-3-1 on the season while Simpson remains undefeated at 5-0.

"This was a tough one here today," said Head Coach Adam Galla. "I give credit to Simpson, they are an excellent side."

The Blue Jays were able to hold the Storm to just one goal in the first half, but were unable to put together a strong offensive performance to even the score before the half.

"We are still trying to put together a full 90 minutes," said Galla. "We play well for stretches and then revert back to bad habits. With as many new players that we have on our roster, it is going to take time. We'll have to keep working hard, but I know we'll get there."

The Storm came out in the second half in full force, scoring a goal just five minutes into the half, and adding their final three goals in the final 15 minutes.

The Blue Jays tallied four shots on the day, two from Cade Rowlette. Raul Belman played all 90 minutes in goal, making two saves.
