GREENVILLE, Ill. - The men's soccer team battled Principia to a 1-1 tie on Saturday, receiving a goal from Pablo Valverde in the 62nd minute.

The Panthers held a 20-11 shot advantage over Principia in the match and took seven corner kicks compared to three from Principia.

Napoleon Urquidi, Rafael Navas, and Jaime Torres each had a team high three shots for the Panthers.

Valverde had two shots on goal.

The Panther goalkeeper Hiram Cruz worked 90 minutes and collected three saves in the second half.

The Panthers (4-3-4, 4-1-3 SLIAC) travel to Webster for a match against first place Webster at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
