Men's Soccer Takes Loss to Simpson

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Westminster men's soccer suffered their first loss of the season to Simpson 3-0.

"I thought we had some good moments and the scoreline didn't necessarily reflect the game," said Head Coach Adam Galla. "That being said, our attention to detail and simple mistakes really cost us today. We'll continue to move forward and we are excited about the opportunity on Tuesday."

Simpson struck early in the match with a goal in the fifth minute from Garrett Pochop on a header netted from a corner kick. The second goal came from Donevan Roe on a through ball from 10 yards out.

Tanner Alderson added the third goal for Simpson in the 65th minute after beating the goalie one-on-one.

Kyle Collins added the most offensive production for the Blue Jays with three shots, followed by David Immanuel

The Blue Jays outshot Simpson 10-9. Ben Chesher made two saves in goal for the Blue Jays.
