Greenville Tops Eureka in Three Sets

EUREKA – Greenville came out strong against the Eureka volleyball team in a rare morning match at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center.

The Panthers produced a 25-3, 25-10, 25-15 sweep sweep over their St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foes.

With kills leader, freshman Brooklyn Shell (Evansville, Ind./Mount Vernon) not in the lineup due to a personal matter, senior Corinne DeBoard Centralia, Ill./Christ Our Rock Lutheran) tallied a team-high seven kills and teamed up with Katelin Peters (New Berlin, Ill./New Berlin) on a team-high two block assists.

Sophomore setter Faith Catour (Orion, Ill./Orion) chalked up 10 assists and senior defensive specialist Megan Masching (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac) notched a team-high 11 digs.

On the other side of the net, Greenville's Ann Finch hit .435 and contributed a match-high 11 kills. Setter Jordan Lempa registered 15 assists, and the team racked up a total of 15 blocks.

On Saturday, the Red Devils will play on the road against Spalding at 1 p.m.
