Baseball led by Moore in second win

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The baseball team got a nine-inning complete game effort from Jonah Moore as they bested Marian (WI) 6-2 on Tuesday in Arizona.

In the second inning, Greenville grabbed a one run lead when Grant Carman produced an RBI single.

The Panthers put four runs on the scoreboard in the third inning.  Adam Lamb delivered an RBI single, Klaiton Wolff added an RBI single, Andrew Torbeck had a sacrifice fly, and Carman came up with another RBI single.

Marian cut the lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the third, but that was the beginning and end of their scoring.

Greenville made the advantage 6-2 with Carman's third RBI single of the game in the fifth inning.

Carman ended with a perfect 4-for-4 game at the plate.

Moore gave up both runs on seven hits and struck out eight.

The Panthers (2-6) face Augsburg in a doubleheader on Thursday.
