TUCSON, Ariz. -- In a baseball doubleheader that saw the two teams combine for 50 runs and 65 hits, Augsburg University split a set with Greenville University (Ill.) at the Tucson Invitational Games on Thursday. Augsburg won 9-6 in the opener, but lost 21-14 in the nightcap.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
• Augsburg rallied from an early 2-0 deficit with three runs in the second inning, and added another run in the fourth. Greenville tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but a five-run sixth inning, with the Auggies sending nine batters to the plate, gave Augsburg the lead for good.

Zach Bakko (SR, Northfield, Minn./Northfield HS) went 4-for-4 at the plate for the Auggies, driving in two runs on a single in the sixth inning.

Walker Rogers (SO, Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Simley HS) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two doubles, including a run-scoring double in the second inning.Â

Keane Turner (SR, Clinton, Minn./Clinton-Graceville-Beardsville HS) went 2-for-3 at the plate, hitting a solo home run in the fourth inning, while scoring three runs.
Josh Tyler (FY, Maple Grove, Minn./Maple Grove HS) went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI, hitting an RBI single in the second and a two-run single in the sixth.

Jamie Kaye (JR, Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson HS) threw his ninth complete game of his career, striking out a career-high 10 batters while walking two.
• For Greenville, Austin Marsh went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, along with a triple. Klaiton Wolff went 2-for 4 with a double and two RBI. Adam Lamb pitched a complete-game effort for the Panthers, striking out five while walking two.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
• Greenville jumped out to a big lead, holding a 21-3 lead after five-and-a-half innings, but Augsburg scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth and eight runs in the bottom of the seventh, sending 13 batters to the plate.
• Turner went 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI, while
Clayton Bodine (JR, Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata HS) and
Jordan Peoples (SO, Cottage Grove, Minn./Park HS) had two hits, including a double, each.

Cam Erikson (SR, Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva HS),
Ryan Masui (JR, Chanhassen, Minn./Minnetonka HS) and
Chase Thomley (FY, St. Paul, Minn./Highland Park HS) also had two hits each.
• Three pitchers saw action for the Auggies, with starter
Charles Linder (JR, Harris, Minn./North Branch HS) striking out two in 2.1 innings of work,
Joey Tschida (SO, Lakeville, Minn./St. Thomas Academy HS) striking out two in 1.2 innings, and
Mathew Nicklay (FY, Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) striking out four in three innings, making his first collegiate varsity pitching appearance.
• For Greenville, Sam Hodges went 3-for-3 with four runs scored and two RBI, while Grant Caman went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and one driven in. Travis Ralls went 2-for-4 with three RBI, and Chandler Dix went 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs scored.
