CHICAGO, Ill. -- A two-goal performance by Caleb Carpenter was exactly what Greenville needed as they took a 4-3 double overtime win on Saturday over Moody Bible.
Greenville fell behind in the seventh minute of the game, but they tied the score 1-1 when David Yakim picked up his first goal of the season in the 10th minute.
Greenville took a 2-1 lead to the intermission after Adam Jones scored an unassisted goal in the 43rd minute.
Moody Bible posted the next two goals to take a 3-2 lead, but Carpenter tied the score at 3-3 before the second half expired.
Carpenter's game winning goal came with just 33 seconds remaining in the second overtime.
Greenville outshot Moody Bible by a 20-14 margin.
Goalkeeper Nick Holland posted three saves.
The Panthers (1-1) travel to Rose-Hulman for a game on Tuesday.
