Men's soccer set back 5-0 at North Park

CHICAGO, Ill. - The men's soccer team suffered a grueling 5-0 loss at North Park on Saturday, giving up three goals in 10 minutes early in the second half and two late goals in the final five minutes.

Overall, Greenville was outshot 25-2 in the contest, picking up a shot in each half. Pablo Valverde had a shot that went on frame and was saved.

Pedro Vebber was busy as Greenville's goalkeeper for the second straight match, stopping two shots among seven on goal.

Greenville's physicality was more apparent than North Park's in the match. GU picked up 14 fouls while North Park had 10.

North Park held a 5-0 lead in corner kicks.

The Panthers (1-1) host Illinois College on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Francis Field.
