ELSAH, Ill. - The men's soccer team collected another victory with a 3-1 win at Principia on Saturday.
The GU Panther squad opened the match with an early goal when a shot from Juan Salazar found crossed the line to give GU a 1-0 advantage in the third minute.
Later, in the 15th minute, Luis Duran added to Greenville's lead with a goal of his own.
Just before the half ended, Principia scored a goal to cut the deficit in half, giving GU a 2-1 lead at the intermission.
In the 55th minute of the match, Greenville's Pablo Valverde added an insurance goal for GU, and it held up.
Greenville ended the match with a 19-8 shot advantage over Principia. Seven of GU's shots were on target.
The GU Panthers (10-7-1, 8-3-1 SLIAC) travel to Webster on Wednesday.
