Men's Soccer Falls Against Greenville

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University men's soccer team suffered a tough 5-1 loss against Greenville on Saturday.
Game Breakdown
The scoring for the Panthers got started in the fifth minute when Pedro Gonzalez-Moro cross found the foot of Jared McPeek and he tipped it past Fontbonne goalie Dominic Haggard for the 1-0 lead.
Less than 45.0 seconds later, the Panthers struck again when Luis Duran lifted his pass ahead for McPeek and he scored his second of the game giving Greenville an early 2-0 advantage.
McPeek added his third in the 21st minute and Jaime Torres scored in the 40th minute putting Greenville ahead 4-0 at the break.
The Griffins came out with a sense of urgency in the second half with a 4-0 shot advantage through the 58th minute. However, the Panthers extended it out to 5-0 when McPeek scored his fourth of the game in the 59th minute.
Fontbonne kept pushing and got on the board in the 75th minute when Zack Lyeki's pass found Jared Lyeki and he scored his second of the year into the bottom right corner. Despite, the Griffins having a 13-2 shot advantage in the second half and 20-7 overall, the deficit proved to be too great with Greenville going on for the win.
