Blackburn Volleyball falls to Greenville

The Blackburn College Women's Volleyball team falls to Greenville University by the score of 3-0, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19. The match took place in Carlinville on Tuesday, October 12th. 


Greenville was on the attack all night as they had 15 more kills than the Beavers and an incredible .220 kill percentage. The Panthers also had success with their serving as they were credited with nine aces. 


Blackburn was led offensively by Emilie King who had a strong game with nine kills. Kyleigh Marty followed with seven kills of her own. Sabrina Kelsey led Blackburn with a team high 19 assists as well. 


Defensively, Blackburn had four total blocks led by Lucy Magnussen who had three of her own. Autumn Wilson had 14 digs which led the game. 


Greenville was led by Sacorra Patton who had a game high 31 attacks and ten kills. Emilt Stahl also added nine kills on an 14 attacks. Payten Morris followed with nine kills on 19 attacks. 


Blackburn falls to (2-19, SLIAC 2-6)  Greenville improved to (15-5, SLIAC 8-0). 


Blackburn's  next game will be Thursday October, 14th at Lincoln College.
