LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Golden Eagles baseball slugged their way to a 12-2 win over Olivet Sunday afternoon improving to 4-0 on the season.

HIGHLIGHTS
Tied 0-0 in the bottom of the second, designated hitter Kyle Stevens singled up the middle driving in Matt Harper and Quenton Brownlee to put SU ahead, 2-0.
The Golden Eagles broke the game open in the fifth scoring six runs on five hits. Sievert hit a sac fly to left field scoring Stevens for the first run, and Clay Kelly followed with a triple scoring Evan Trentman. Kelly then came home on a Joe Hatcher single, and Brownlee capped off the inning with a three-run homer to right field.
Spalding added four more runs in the sixth on RBI singles by Sievert, Kelly, Hatcher and Harper pushing the margin to 12 runs.
STAT LEADERS
Jack Parisi (1-0) earned his first collegiate win. The right-hander held the Comets to two earned runs, on five hits, while striking out seven batters and walking one in 7.0 innings pitched.
Quenton Brownlee went 2-for-2 with three RBI and a three-run home run.
Clay Kelly went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate driving in one run and scoring two.
Kyle Stevens finished 2-for-3 with two RBI, and Joe Hatcher went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
FOR THE FOES
Aaron Gillespie (0-1) suffered the loss, allowing eight runs, five earned, on 10 hits, while striking out five batters and walking one.
Jake Robinson led Olivet at the plate going 1-for-3 with one RBI.
