FULTON, Mo. -- If the men's basketball team is fortunate to host the SLIAC tournament this season, they will look back at Wednesday's win at Westminster as one of its most important victories.  The Panthers went on the road Wednesday night and came back with a 118-113 over the SLIAC's first place team.

The Panthers got 27 points from Kenny Greene and 10 or more points from six of his teammates as they distanced themselves from Westminster in the second half after finding themselves in a 61-61 deadlock at halftime.

Kieshaun Young-Jones gave Greenville a double-double with 16 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, and Johari Dix provided the Panthers with six assists.

Elmo Smith totaled 14 points.

Greenville shot at a 44 percent clip (40-of-91) and made 20-of-55 three-pointers.

The Panthers (13-4, 7-3 SLIAC) will host MacMurray on Saturday at 3 p.m.  Greenville presently finds themselves in the second seeded position in the SLIAC tournament race, just one game behind Westminster.
