Women's soccer posts 5-0 shutout at Maranatha Baptist

WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The women's soccer team raised their record to one match over .500 with a 5-0 win against Maranatha Baptist on Saturday to complete a trip that saw them outscore their opponents 13-0.

Breanna Thomas produced two goals and added an assist as Greenville's top scorer in the match.

Jade Taylor posted her third and fourth goals of the season, and Dani Pearce put together one goal and two assists.

Greenville held a 2-0 lead at halftime as Pearce scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 15th minute, and Taylor followed with her first goal of the day less than one minute later.

In the second half, Thomas tallied her two goals, and Taylor posted her second of two.

Goalkeeper Marjory Coates made one save and recorded her second shutout of the season.

The Panthers (5-4) host Lincoln Christian on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
