MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa - Hannah Marshall joined the 1,000 kill club in the Westminster volleyball sweep of Iowa Wesleyan.

With the win, Westminster improves to 16-10 overall and 12-3 in the SLIAC.

Marshall added 17 kills to the match, becoming just the second player in the rally scoring era to join the 1,000 Kill Club (Lexi Collier, 2012-15).

"Hannah had a huge night for us tonight," said Westminster Head Coach Curtis Madson. "She was a solid consistent offensive player for us, even when things went sideways. Huge congrats to her for getting her 1,000th kill in the second set."

With the win, Madson is tied for career wins in program history with 72.

Westminster came out strong out of the gates and kept that speed the entire three matches to earn the sweep 25-20, 25-13, 25-22.

"Tonight we struggled with focus at times, we had a slight mental let down from last night," said Madson. "But give credit to our ladies, they worked hard and got the job done."

Kayla Reeg added 36 assists and 15 digs.

Westminster continues conference play Saturday with matches of the season against Blackburn and Eureka. Both matches are played at Blackburn and are set for 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
