Women's soccer drops 2-0 match to Webster

GREENVILLE, Ill. - The women's soccer team suffered a difficult 2-0 loss to Webster on Monday night at home.  The rare Monday match was a make-up from October 2.

Webster had a goal in each half with the first coming just 35 seconds into the match and the second occurring in the 63rd minute.

Goalkeeper Grace Gehner protected GU's net from a flurry of Webster's 17 shots, and she had four saves.

Greenville's lone shot on goal was offered by Emma Cadwell, and Greenville produced an overall total of five shots in the match.

Despite the 17-5 shot differential, Greenville held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Panthers (8-5, 8-2 SLIAC) host Westminster on Wednesday night at home at 7 p.m.
