Women's soccer defeated at Webster in conclusion to season

FENTON, Mo. - The women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 match at WWT Soccer Park on Thursday night as they fell to Webster in the semifinals of the SLIAC tournament.

Webster only needed the goal that they received five minutes into the match to better the Panthers. They added an insurance goal in the 76th minute.

The Gorloks challenged Greenville's offensive attack all night, limiting GU to only three shots. Webster finished with 12 shots in the match.

Goalkeeper Grace Gehner managed to tally six saves.

Greenville's Jen De Leon De Leon, Vanessa Ramirez, and Nina Torvisco had shots on goal for the Panthers.

The Panthers ended the 2021 season with a record of 11-8, including a 10-4 record in SLIAC competition. Greenville was third in the SLIAC standings, and they will look forward to the announcement of the SLIAC all-conference team on Saturday.
