Men's basketball wins number 14

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The men's basketball team avenged an earlier season loss as they dominated Blackburn in a 130-112 win on Wednesday night.

Johari Dix posted a 21 point outing to take honors as Greenville's leading scorer in the game.  Sonti Grady was number two scorer with 20 points.

The Panthers led 76-54 at halftime and eventually stretched their lead to 27 early in the second half.

Blackburn outscored Greenville by four in the second half, but it was no where close to enough.

GU shot better than 55 percent from the field in the contest as they made 49-of-89 shot attempts.

They were 19-of-45 from behind the three point arc to finish just north of 42 percent.

Vari Bonney led Greenville in rebounds with eight, and Dix provided seven assists.

The SLIAC leading Panthers (14-8, 11-4 SLIAC) will travel to Principia for a game on Saturday at 3 p.m.
