Baseball runs winning streak to nine

ELSAH, Ill. -- The baseball team took a doubleheader sweep over Principia with 14-5 and 13-9 wins on Monday.

Jesse Getz led the Panthers in game one with a 4-for-5 performance, including a home run, four runs scored, and four RBI.

Travis Ralls was 3-for-5 with a triple, three runs scored, and three RBI.

Klaiton Wolff tallied four RBI and was 1-for-3.

Jonah Moore picked up the pitching win as he threw five innings and allowed five runs on 11 hits.

Game two saw Greenville erase a 6-0 deficit with a six run fourth inning, fall behind 9-6 in the sixth, and score seven runs in the top of the eighth for the season sweep of Principia.

Austin Marsch hit a pair of three-run homers as he was 2-for-5 with six RBI.

Getz homered as part of a 3-for-5 game.  He scored twice and drove in three runs.

Reliever Logan Murphy continued his stretch of strong performances with four innings as he picked up the pitching win with seven strikeouts and an unearned run.

The Panthers (22-12, 12-4 SLIAC) face MacMurray on Thursday in Jacksonville.
