Men's basketball topped at Iowa Wesleyan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The men's basketball team faced a tough challenge from Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday and dropped the game by a 140-119 final score.

Despite leading at halftime 64-62, the Panthers couldn't carry the momentum to the second half.

Elmo Smith was Greenville's leading scorer with 21 points.  Michael Hohm chipped in 17 points.

Kieshaun Young-Jones was tops in rebounds with eight.

Greenville forced Iowa Wesleyan into committing 24 turnovers, but they could not keep the Tigers from making over 60 percent of their field goal attempts as Iowa Wesleyan made 52-of-81 shots from the floor.

The Panthers (10-3, 4-2 SLIAC) host Eureka on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
