Women's tennis earns win over Rose-Hulman

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The women's tennis team picked up a win for the first time this spring when they defeated Rose-Hulman 6-3 on Saturday.

GU gained wins in two doubles matches to take the early 2-1 edge and then proceeded to win four of the six singles encounters.

Greenville's doubles winners were the No. 1 team of Mireia Birosta and Addison Brannon who collected an 8-5 victory and Emily Buratovich and Stephanie Kamp at No. 3 with an 8-0 win.

Three of the six singles matches went to a third set tiebreaker. No. 3 Callie Adkins and No. 4 Stephanies Kamp were victors in the third set tiebreaker.

Greenville's other singles winners were No. 5 Natalia Higashi with a 6-4, 6-4 win and No. 6 Buratovich who dominated 6-0, 6-1.

The Panthers (3-6) continue their season in Hilton Head, S.C., during their spring break trip on March 13.
