Fontbonne 3, Iowa Wesleyan 1

Set Breakdown:
Set 1: The Griffins started fast in the opener with a 9-1 advantage on a kill from Jadyn Fitzgerald which forced an Iowa Wesleyan timeout. Fontbonne piled it on from there cruising to the 25-14 win.
Set 2: The script flipped in set two with the Tigers this time around taking an 8-1 lead. Fontbonne went on to retake the lead 14-10 and held an 18-17 advantage after Fitzgerald's kill.
Later in the set, the Griffins trailed 22-18 but a 4-0 run capped off by Campbell Brown's kill had them right back in it even at 22-22. The Tigers, though finished the set off on a 3-0 run for the 25-22 win.
Set 3: In the third, the Griffins led 15-9 after a Tigers ball handling error. Iowa Wesleyan tried to make it interesting late but kills from Fitzgerald and Olivia Tallo and a block assist from Tallo and Jackie Drury secured the 25-22 win.
Set 4: It was a back-and-forth contest in the fourth but the Griffins held a marginal 17-15 lead on Drury's kill. They never relinquished its lead the rest of the way going on for the 25-20 set and match win.
Head-to-Head
- Fontbonne set a season-high with 58 kills and a .262 hitting percentage.
- Defensively, the team came away with 73 digs.
- Iowa Wesleyan finished with 31 kills and a .088 hitting percentage.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Fitzgerald tied her season-high with 19 kills and .318 hitting percentage.
- Hannah Gallagher had another strong performance with 17 kills and a .342 hitting percentage.
- Ella Werner registered her second double-double with a season-high 43 assists and 13 digs.
- Emma Pramik collected a season-high with 26 digs, while Rae Andrews added 13.

Set Breakdown
Set 1: After the Tigers made it a 6-5 contest, the Griffins went on an 8-0 run to lead 14-5. The team continued its dominance from there going on for the 25-15 win.
Set 2: The Tigers took a 12-9 lead but Fontbonne answered on a 6-0 run to lea by three after an IWU attack error. The two teams went point-for-point the rest of the way and it the Griffins coming away with the 25-23 win.
Set 3: In the third, the two teams went back-and-forth early but Fontbonne grabbed a 15-11 lead on Campbell Brown's solo block. Fontbonne led 21-16 but the Tigers kept battling going on a 7-1 run to lead 23-22.
That'd be the last lead for the Tigers with Fontbonne closing out the set and the match on a 3-0 run for the victory.

- Fontbonne finished with 49 kills and a .194 hitting percentage.
- The Tigers rounded out with 25 kills and a .092 hitting percentage.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Gallagher notched her sixth double-double with a game-high 16 kills, a .387 hitting percentage, and 14 digs.
- Tallo and Fitzgerald had eight kills each, while Kelly Herr contributed seven.
- Brown finished with a season-high six kills and .333 hitting percentage.
- Abby Grumich earned her second double-double with 35 assists and a season-high 12 digs.
