GREENVILLE, Ill. -- Eureka College junior guard Shea Feehan (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame H.S.) poured in 47 points to earn his second consecutive 40-point game, but the Red Devils came up empty in a 111-97 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference defeat at Greenville, Saturday afternoon.

Feehan, who finished the game with 1,441 career points to become the seventh player in program history to reach 1,400 points, fell two points shy of his own single-game school record of 49 set earlier this season at Knox. He also missed equaling the SLIAC's single-game scoring record by four points.

The Red Devils led by as many as 12 points in the first half and took a 53-48 lead into the locker room at halftime. GU eventually snagged the lead, 73-72, on Johari Dix's basket with 11:26 remaining. Two two teams traded the lead two mores times, as another field goal from Dix just 29 seconds later gave the hosts the lead for the remainder of the afternoon.

Dakota Bennington (Peoria, Ill./Peoria Christian H.S./Olivet Nazarene) scored 19 points off the bench. Hank Thomas (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods H.S.) netted 16.

Dix scored 25 to pace the Panthers. Greenville made 18 3-pointers in the win.

Eureka will return home Wednesday for an 8 p.m. SLIAC matchup with MacMurray at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena.
