ST. LOUIS - Westminster softball swept Webster in a conference doubleheader, with Katie Price picking up two wins and pitching a no-hitter in the first game.

The Blue Jays improve to 10-12 overall and a perfect 6-0 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

In game one, Katie Price pitched a complete game shutout, allowing no hits, runs, or walks to record her first career no-hitter. Two Gorloks reach base on errors in the game.

"What can you say about that outing? Katie Price was a one-woman wrecking crew tonight with an amazing outing," said Westminster Head Coach Joe Henderson.

Westminster backed up their pitcher's shutdown outing with two runs, one in the first and one in the third.

After Emily Holloway hit a double and advanced to third on an error, Brooke Laidley hit a sacrifice fly to drive in the first run of the game.

Katie Price then drove in the second run of the game on a single up the middle to score Holloway again, giving Westminster the 2-0 win.

In game two, the Blue Jays scored both runs in the first inning on RBI from Price and Aubrie Vaughn

The Gorloks added one run in the second, but Katie Price came in to pitch relief for Madison Ingram after 1.2 innings and pitched 5.1 shutout innings to earn her second win of the night.

"What an effort winning two at the home of a top-tier tournament team," said Henderson. "Now we have to focus on the weekend as Blackburn and Spalding come to town."

Westminster returns home Saturday and Sunday to face Blackburn and Spalding in back-to-back doubleheaders.
