FULTON, Mo. - Westminster men's basketball dominated Webster 84-55 on top of 28 points from Kobe Wands.

Westminster improves to 3-2 on the year, including opening the conference season 1-0. 

"We are very pleased tonight," said Westminster Head Coach Matt Mitchell. "Obviously, we shot the ball extremely well, but our defensive and offensive execution was also excellent. This was a great way to start the conference season."

The Blue Jays shot an incredible 53.4% (31-58) from the field during the game, including 46.2% (12-26) from behind the arc.

Westminster started the night with two straight three-pointers from Collin Caywood and Tanner Cochran and didn't cool off from there. Westminster went on a 23-1 run to open their lead 30-7 in the first 10 minutes of the game. During the run, Kobe Wands went on a stretch where he scored 14 straight points and 17 of the 23 points scored. 

Wands ended the half with 24 points, outscoring the entirety of the Webster team, who ended the half with 22 points. 

The Gorloks tried to get back into the game in the second half, but Caywood started the half off just the way the first half ended by hitting back-to-back three-pointers to increase the Blue Jay lead to 53-26. 

Throughout the second half, Webster never came within 17 points of the Blue Jays, who finished the game on top 84-55. 

Caywood finished the game in double-figures with 12 points, going 4-5 from behind the arc. Casey McCollum added 11 points, going 5-7 from the field. 

Westminster travels to Greenville Saturday for a 3 p.m. SLIAC matchup.
