Women's soccer sends seniors out with 5-0 win

GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's soccer team recognized seniors Whitney Warner, Jamie Schollenbruch, Faith Benson, and Taylor Purkey at halftime as they used the halftime ceremony to energize them in a 5-0 victory on Saturday night.

Greenville led 1-0 after one period and exploded for four goals in the second half.

Schollenbruch opened the game's scoring with a goal in the 16th minute with an assist from Suzi Conner.

Conner added a goal of her own in the 57th minute as Dani Pearce assisted.

Pearce gave Greenville their third goal in the 62nd minute.

Gabbie Hartin and Natty Hepburn closed out Greenville's performance with a goals in the 70th and 72nd minutes, respectively.

The Lady Panthers (8-10-1, 4-5 SLIAC) concluded their season in sixth place among SLIAC schools.
