Tigers Edge Blue Jays in Close Dual Match

The 6-3 loss for the Blue Jays dropped their record to 1-5 on the season and improved the Central Christian College Tigers' record to 2-9.

Pete Hassenmueller and Brendan Boswell knotched the singles victories in the dual match for the Blue Jays. Hassenmueller won his match in a thrilling three sets 7-6, 4-6, 10-8, while Boswell also won in an intense three sets 2-6, 7-5, 12-10.

Adam Fuchs put up a good fight in his match but ultimately fell in three sets to Andres Padilla 6-7, 6-2, 10-5.

The doubles matches on the day were equally as tight. Pete Hassenmueller and Grant Peterson earned the sole victory for the Blue Jays in a close set with a final score of 8-6. 

Brendan Boswell and Riley Zack came close in their doubles match, but they fell short to the team of JD Williams and Zach Bueford 8-4.

Westminster returns to conference play this Sunday, April 8th, for a home match against Fontbonne at 2pm.
