GREENVILLE, Ill. -- The women's basketball team extended their early season winning streak to five games with an 84-58 win over Westminster on Saturday.
The Panthers took an 18-11 lead after one period and held a 38-31 advantage at halftime.
Greenville outscored Westminster 29-16 in the third quarter to hold a 67-47 lead after three stanzas.
Maria Reinhard and Kelly Lenz led the Panthers with 16 points each as they topped a balanced Greenville scoring effort. Jantzen Michael provided 12 points, and Wesley Woodard posted 10 points.
Morgan St. James recorded a season-high with 10 rebounds, and Meredith Crosier had three steals.
Greenville (5-1, 2-0 SLIAC) will play three non-conference games over the next week. They start their competition when they travel to No. 16 Washington-St. Louis for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
