Baseball records come-from-behind win over Framingham State

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The baseball team worked their way back from a 10-4 deficit with six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning before Austin Marsh's game-winning RBI single scored Chandler Dix in the bottom of the ninth to give Greenville the 11-10 win.

Framingham State jumped on Panther starter Logan Murphy to score the first run of the game in the top of the second inning on a home run, but the Panthers took the lead in the bottom of the second with two runs.  Bryce Pearce recorded an RBI double and Chandler Dix had an RBI groundout.

Framingham State made the score 8-1 with three runs in the third and four runs in the fourth to knock out Murphy, and the Panthers made the score 8-2 after a run scored on an error in the fourth.

Greenville got another run in the bottom of the sixth using a fielder's choice from Adam Lamb, but Framingham State pushed the lead to 10-4 with two runs in the top of the seventh.

The seventh inning changed the fortunes for Greenville.  Pearce knocked in two runs with a double, a ball hit by Dix led to an error and run scored, Lamb delivered a two run single, and Travis Ralls hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game.

After two scoreless innings of relief from Klaiton Wolff, Dix and Jesse Getz reached base in the ninth inning on errors and Ralls walked to set up Marsh's game-winning base hit.

Wolff earned his second win of the year to improve to 2-0.

Pearce finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI.

The Panthers (4-7) conclude their spring trip on Saturday with a game against Hamline.
