JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - Westminster baseball fell twice in a doubleheader against conference opponent MacMurray.

The Blue Jays fall to 13-12 overall and 8-6 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. 

In game one, Westminster scored its only run of the game in the first inning on a solo home run from Nick Bohlmann. 

The Highlanders went on to score 12 runs in the next six innings, including a seven-run sixth inning to seal the win. 

Ian Cassidy started on the mound for Westminster, falling to 5-2. He pitched five innings, giving up 10 runs on 13 hits. 

In game two, Westminster clawed its way back from a 10-0 deficit to have a chance to win in the ninth inning. After the Highlanders went up 10-0 after four innings, Westminster scored its first runs of the game on a solo home run from Ryan Clavin and an RBI single from Adam Mundle. Mundle added two more RBI in the eighth to cut the Highlander lead to 10-4 with one inning remaining. 

In the ninth, Westminster put together a nine-run inning to give themselves the lead with three outs to play. The scoring started with another home run from Clavin for two runs. Will Stonecipher then added a three-run home run to cut the MacMurray lead to 11-9. Strebler added a single for an RBI, and Mason Price capped off the incredible inning with a three-run home run to give Westminster the 13-11 lead. 

The Highlanders managed to piece together enough hits in the bottom of the ninth to eventually win the game on a walkoff single, 14-13. 

Westminster went through five pitchers in the game, with Ryan Clavin eventually taking the loss in the ninth. Alex Dickneite earned the start, pitching 3.1 innings and giving up eight runs on six hits. 

The Blue Jays continue their conference road trip by traveling to Eureka for a three-game Saturday/Sunday series.
