Men's basketball tripped up at Webster

WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. -- The men's basketball team scored 120 points for the sixth straight game, but it wasn't enough to overcome Webster as Greenville lost 133-120 on Wednesday night.

Webster held a 65-56 lead at halftime and outscored Greenville by a 68-64 margin in the second half.

Kenny Greene didn't have any trouble scoring on Wednesday as he led all scorers with 32 points.  He made 11 buckets, including eight three-pointers and two free throws.

Shane Smith entered the game averaging nearly 25 points per outing, but he was limited to just nine points.  Smith led Greenville with eight rebounds.

Johari Dix was the top assist man with six, and Greene added three steals. 

The Panthers (5-2, 0-1 SLIAC) host Westminster on Saturday at 3 p.m.
