ST. LOUIS - Westminster softball swept Principia to get back to its wining ways, going 8-2 in conference play this season.

The Blue Jays are now 15-11 overall this season and 8-2 in the conference. 

Alyson Hahn took a win in game one to earn an 8-3 record this season. She went five shutout innings with three stikeouts. 

In game one, Westminster was the only team to score. They struck first in the third with an RBI double from Amber Tepen to score Brooke Laidley and Anne Baker. 

Josie Cotter continued the inning by scoring Tepen and Collier. 

Erica Burney, Hahn, and Laidley scored to earn an RBI in the same inning to give Westminster the advantage and shutout Principia 14-0. 

Katie Price took the win in game two, increasing her record to 6-3, after shutout innings and earning the short win for Westminster.

"Cotter really kept us moving offensively," said Westminster Head Coach Joe Henderson. "She was a home run swing away from hitting for the cycle and had five RBI."

Anne Baker set the record tonight with assists with 209 tonight," said Henderson of his starting infielder.

The Blue Jays won game two 14-2, on top of three RBI from Mackenzie Meyers. She hit two RBI singles to earn all three RBI in the first inning. 

Westminster plays at home at Blue Jay Field Saturday against Webster. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
