How It Happened
Westminster led 3-0 going into the top of the fourth but the Griffins got its offense rolling scoring five runs on four hits.
With the bases loaded and one out, the Griffins made it a 3-1 game on Logan Darrow's RBI single to right scoring Hannah Miener.
Two batters later, Madison Galczynski walked scoring Patience Vandermierden putting the Griffins down one. Then, Grace Harlin capped the inning off with her first triple on the season, second in career, clearing the bases and giving Fontbonne a 5-3 lead.
However, the Blue Jays scored seven unanswered runs over the next two innings leading 10-5. Fontbonne got two of those runs back in the sixth on Michaela Mason's first career double scoring two runners but the Blue Jays offense stayed hot adding three more in the bottom half of the six-run win.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Harlin had her second three hit day on the season and brought home a career-high three RBI.
- Galczynski had another strong day at the plate going 2-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI.
- Hannah Miener went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
- Vandermierden tallied two hits and a run scored.
- Mason's two RBI were her first in career.

How It Happened
Westminster grabbed a 2-0 lead in the first but the Griffins evened it up in the second on Madison Galczynski's two RBI double.
Both teams added a run in the third, though in the fourth the Griffins took a 5-3 lead getting RBI on a Harlin bases loaded walk and Grace Paez RBI single.
Westminster tacked a run on in the bottom of the fourth, however, the Griffins responded in the next half inning.
Skylar Freeman led off belting her first career home run extending the advantage out to 6-4. From there, the Griffins got an RBI single from Harlin, an RBI double from Paez, an RBI single from Miener, and another RBI double from Vandermierden putting Fontbonne well out in front, 10-4.
The Blue Jays, though stuck around scoring five runs in the bottom of the fifth trimming the deficit down to 10-9. Westminster went on to win it in the seventh scoring two runs for the walk-off 11-10 win.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Harlin, Paez, Miener, and Vandermierden had two hits and two RBI each.
- Galczynski led with three hits, two runs scored, and two RBI. She extended her hitting streak out to seven.
- Freeman finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI.
- Becker went 0-for-1 with a run scored but walked a career-high four times.
