Game Breakdown
The Griffins struck early in the first half when Rylee Stafford's pass was lifted ahead for Caroline Neal and she scored past Principia goalie Leslie Barrera for the 1-0 lead.
From there, the Griffins went on to score five more times with Alyson Carroll scoring her first collegiate goal to make it 2-0 in the 12th minute. Molly Kovarik got in on the action in the 24th minute extending the advantage out to 3-0.
Neal struck again in the 26th minute giving Fontbonne a commanding 4-0 lead. Another goal from Riley Maag in the 29th minute and Neal for her first collegiate hat-trick in the 44th minute had Fontbonne well out in front at halftime, 6-0.
In the second half, the Griffins continued its dominance with a 13-2 shot advantage and getting both goals from Kovarik in the 64th and 74th minute en route to the shutout win.

- Neal's hat-trick gives her 26 career goals at Fontbonne.
- Kovarik surpassed Elizabeth Cornwell on the all-time list at Fontbonne with 41 career goals. She sits all alone in fourth and needs eight more to become the all-time leader.

- Maag's goal was her third in career.
- In goal, Mary Beers made three saves for her 16th career shutout.
