GALESBUG, Ill – Macalester split their first two games to MacMurray College and Knox College in their invitational at Knox College.

The Scots won the first match against MacMurray College 3-2. The Scots offense was helped by senior India Medaris (Napa, Calif./Justin Siena) with 16 kills and by Clara Bauman (Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) who tallied 12 kills. Sofi Ascencio ( Oakland, Calif/ Holy Names) continued to help the offense with 37 assists. First year Abrielle Dillon (Brown Deer, Wis./University School of Milwaukee) added to her impressive defensive year with 19 digs, 160 on the season.
 
 In their second match with Knox College this season, Macalester lost 25-20, 28-26, 25-17.

Next up for Macalester is a non-conference match against the University of Dubuque on Saturday Sept. 16, at 9:00 a.m. in Galesburg, Ill.
