Women's volleyball moves closer to SLIAC title with three set win over Westminster

FULTON, Mo. - The women's volleyball team passed a significant check-point in the 2021 SLIAC conference season with a three set win over Westminster. The victory kept their perfect conference record intact at 9-0 in a 25-20, 25-19, 25-15 triumph.

In Jasmin Smith's return to the lineup for the first time since matches at WashU on October 9, she ended as Greenville's leading attacker with 12 kills and no errors in 26 attempts. She achieved a hitting percentage of .462, added three service aces, and tallied a team-high nine digs.

Anna Finch was second on the team in kills with seven and provided one solo block and two block assists.

Lauren Spivey performed well as a blocker for the Panthers with one solo block and three block assists.

Overall, the Panthers achieved a .261 hitting percentage with 37 kills and 14 errors in 88 attacks.

With two more conference wins, they will become regular season conference champions for the 11th time since 2010. The Panthers return to action on Friday in H.J. Long Gymnasium when they play WashU at 7 p.m.
