SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The men's soccer team earned their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory at Robert Morris - Springfield on Thursday night.
Edgar Bueno was assisted by Chad Juneau to give Greenville the game-winning goal in the 18th minute.
"We found a way tonight," said head coach Chris Swift. "We got a fairly early goal, and we were much better in possession tonight."
"Possession has been a major focus, but we need to do better in the final third and we need to be more dangerous."
"I want to give a lot of credit to Matt Upchurch at Robert Morris. He has done a great job there in a short amount of time."
The Panthers (1-2) face Ozarks (Ark.) on Friday at 7 p.m. in Greenville at Francis Field.
