Women's Volleyball Falls In Season Series Against Eutectics

The Basics
Set 1: It was point-for-point play up until the Eutectics grabbed a 12-9 lead on a kill from Daniella Underwood. Fontbonne responded going on a 6-1 run with Kristen Kaempfe's kill giving the Griffins a 15-13 lead.
The Eutectics retook the lead, expanded it out to 23-19 and fended off Fontbonne for the 25-22 opening set win.
Set 2: The Eutectics owned a 14-6 lead on Kaitlyn Cid's kill. Fontbonne tried a late rally trailing 22-18 on a double block from Kelly Herr and Ella Werner-Click. However, the Eutectics finished off the set for the 25-19 win on Kira Cid's service ace.
Set 3: It was the Griffins this time around taking a commanding 13-6 lead on Jordan Harpel's kill. Despite, the Eutectics narrowing Fontbonne's lead down to 23-21 it was the Griffins getting kills from Jadyn Fitzgerald and Lizzy Harvey to secure the 25-22 win.
Statistically, the Griffins had its best set on the night with 14 kills and a .178 hitting percentage.
Set 4: In the fourth, the Eutectics took control right away with a 10-5 lead and stretched it out to 22-9 on a Fontbonne attack error. UHSP had its best set on the night with 12 kills and a match-high .526 hitting percentage en route to the 25-12 match win.
Fontbonne Leaders
- The Griffins finished with 46 kills and a .109 hitting percentage.
- Fontbonne set a new season-high with 14 block assists.
- Hannah Gallagher led with her 12th career double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs.
- Fitzgerald added 10 kills, seven digs, and a .172 hitting percentage.
- Harpel finished with eight kills, a .294 hitting percentage on 17 swings, and two block assists.
- Kelly Herr and Kristen Kaempfe contributed six kills each. Herr led at the night with a career-high five block assists.
- Setter Ella Werner-Click handed out 40 assists.
- Emma Pramik led the way defensively with 17 digs.
