No. 5 Men's Soccer Comeback Effort Runs Out Of Time Against No. 1 Webster In SLIAC Semifinals

Game Breakdown
Through the first 30:00 minutes of action the Gorloks held a 6-2 shot advantage, though Dominic Haggard was stout in net coming away with three saves.
Both Fontbonne and Webster had one last scoring chance prior to halftime, but Jared Lyeki's attempt was saved by Matt Coffey keeping it a scoreless game at the break.
In the second half, the ball was loose inside the box in the 54th minute and a handball was called on the Griffins allowing the Gorloks a penalty-kick attempt. Hunter Olaso's shot went just off the fingertips of the diving Haggard and into the back of the net giving them a 1-0 lead.
Webster went on a 9-0 shot run over the next 13:00 minutes, but Haggard kept it a one goal deficit making four saves. Fontbonne followed up with two straight scoring chances of its own, though Coffey was there stopping Brandon Baumgartner's and Jared Lyeki's attempts.
In the 89th minute, the Gorloks took a 2-0 lead when Mark Moore found Aamahn Murvin in the box and he made a move past the Griffins defense scoring his 15th on the year.
Fontbonne kept battling with Tanner Harris scoring his sixth on the year with 30.0 seconds left, but the comeback was not to be with Webster hanging on for the win.

- Jared Lyeki, Trent Calvert, Brandon Baumgartner, and Harris tied with two shots each.
- Haggard was one of his season-high in saves finishing with 10.
