ST. LOUIS - David Immanuel added two goals for Westminster men's soccer in the 4-0 shutout over Fontbonne.

Westminster improves to 6-1-1 in the SLIAC and 11-3-1 overall, moving to second place just below undefeated Spalding.

"We had a really gutsy performance tonight," said Westminster Head Coach Adam Galla. "We had a lot of guys with injuries and the character we showed tonight was phenomenal. To go on the road against a quality side and get a result was big for us. I couldn't be more proud of this group."

Immanuel recorded his first goal, and the only goal of the half, in the 14th minute on an assist from Kyle Collins

In the 50th minute, he added another goal to give the Blue Jays a 2-0 lead.

Dustin Seibolt and Drake Trease scored in the 78th and 88th, respectively, to give Westminster the shutout conference win.

Westminster tallied a commanding lead in shots taken, outshooting the Griffins 18-6 and allowing just one shot on goal. Ben Chesher played 90 minutes between the posts and made one stop.

The Blue Jays finish out the regular season Saturday with a match at MacMurray set for 3 p.m.
