Women's volleyball tightens conference standings with win over Webster

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The women's volleyball team posted a dominating three-set win against Webster on Thursday night as they avenged a loss earlier this season.  The Panthers topped Webster with a 25-16, 25-18, 26-24 final score.

Allyson Mitchell provided a memorable evening for Greenville with 17 kills and 21 digs as she led the Panthers on both sides of the net.

The Panthers outhit Webster in all three sets, reaching a high of .333 in the second set as they posted 18 kills and two errors in 42 attacks.

Allyson Grabowski totaled 16 digs as she provided solid defense.  Anna Finch and Sarah Watts each gave Greenville a pair of block assists.

Abby Freeman tacked on seven kills and two service aces for nine points.

The Panthers (12-3, 7-2 SLIAC) travel to Eureka on Saturday to face Principia and the host Eureka in a pair of SLIAC matches.
