CARLINVILLE, Ill. - Westminster baseball swept Blackburn Tuesday night to get back on track in conference play on top of a complete game from Sam Huesgen.

Westminster improves to 14-8 and 9-5 in the conference with the wins, remaining in second place in their division behind Webster. 

Alex Dickneite started on the mound in game one for the Blue Jays, allowing just three runs on 10 hits. He pitched all but two outs of the seven-inning game, while Justin Riggins came in to complete the game for Westminster. 

The Beavers scored all three of their runs in the first inning, but after that, it was all Westminster. 

Zach Eisenreich scored first for the Blue Jays on a wild pitch in the second inning, but it wasn't until the third inning when Westminster evened the score with RBI from Tanner Branneky and Nick Cessna. 

An RBI single from Nick Bohlman gave Westminster the advantage in the game during the fourth. a five-run seventh inning secured the victory for Westminster in RBI from Cessna, Eisenreich, Adam Mundle, and Will Stonecipher. 

Huesgen came in to pitch game two, and was at the top of his game for nine straight innings. He allowed just six hits and one one, striking out 11 batters. 

The Blue Jays did all their scoring in the first inning, but that was enough to earn the win. A triple from Strebler scored Bohlman, while Stonecipher continued his hot bat to score Strebler on an RBI single. 

Westminster goes on to face MacMurray at home Saturday for a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
