Women's volleyball sweeps Eureka

EUREKA, Ill. -- The women's volleyball team improved their SLIAC mark to 3-0 with a crisp three-set win at Eureka on Monday.  The Lady Panthers were playing their third conference match in three days and showed that they were up for the challenge.

Sierah Ruffner was Greenville's leader with 11 kills as the team displayed a balanced offensive attack.

Allyson Mitchell and Savannah Sells each produced eight kills.  Mitchell added six service aces.

The Greenville offense was directed by Kirsten Laune with 30 assists.

Allyson Grabowski led the team defensively with nine digs.

The Lady Panther front row managed 26 block assists.  Sells and Ruffner led G.C. with seven block assists.  Sarah Watts and Brittni Bell chipped in five block assists.

The Lady Panthers (7-1, 3-0 SLIAC) head to MacMurray on Saturday to play Webster at 11 a.m. and Iowa Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
