Women's basketball handles Robert Morris Springfield

SAINT MARY OF THE WOODS, Ind. -- The women's basketball team completed a perfect trip to Indiana with an 82-41 victory over Robert Morris Springfield on Saturday afternoon.

Greenville led 27-14 after the first quarter and held a 41-26 lead at halftime.  The Panthers added nine points to their lead with a 17-8 third quarter before closing the game with a 24-7 final stanza.

Greenville was led by Emily Brandland in the scoring column as she had 15 points.

Naomi Johnson posted 13 points in her second game after an injury shut her down for a few games.

The Panthers outrebounded the Eagles 49-35 and were led by Megan Barrett with seven rebounds.

The Panthers (7-2) travel to Iowa Wesleyan for a SLIAC contest on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
