CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind.—The Fontbonne University suffered its first loss on the season at the hands of the Wabash Little Giants, 4-1.
The Little Giants held a 6-2 shot advantage in the first 15 minutes of action. In the 18th minute, the persistence came through with Quinn Leous' cross into the box found Emilio Paez and he tapped his shot in past Dominic Haggard for the 1-0 lead.
Two minutes later, the Little Giants struck again when Alexis Delgado buried the loose ball into the back of the net for the 2-0 lead at the break.
In the second half, the Little Giants extended its lead out to 3-0 on a goal from Austin Hughes in the 63rd minute. They tacked on another goal in the 73rd minute off the head of Delgado for his second of the game.
Fontbonne got on the board in the 85th minute when Eldar Kladnjakovic scored from the top of the box off a free kick from Alex Wigge.
